The "Kran-mobil" is positioned on narrowest space at level zero and reaches the mounting base via lift.
The driver quickly steers the self-propelling "Kran-mobil" through the narrow lanes. Tight circles are easily managed due to the four wheel-steering.
Telescopic "supports" guarantee safe footing at the assembly position.
The telescopic crane reaches far beyond the fixed infrastructure to the assembly position. There the "Kran-mobil" takes up the heavy, damaged robot elements and puts them down in the area accessible for transport while simultaneously transporting the new parts to the mounting area.
"Exchange of parts is done quickly. Using the Kran-mobil saved building-up of a mounting scaffold and disassembly of infrastructure", says Sebastian Zuhammer, who developed the Kran-mobil.
